In this semi finals game, 10th grader Liam Schertzer scored the team's only goal of the game off of a free kick. He also played exceptionally well at the positions of center mid and right back. This led to a final score of 3-1, and although we lost, it has been a great season.
Renaissance (Quarter finals):
Richard Sherpa
Y1 Richard was a key player in the game against Renaissance. This game was an important win, with a final score of 4-0, with Richard scoring 3 of these goals. All of his offensive plays propelled the team to move on to the semi-final round of the playoffs.
U. Neighborhood 5/08/19
Jordan Drummond and Asef Chowdhury
Y2 Jordan Drummond and Y1 Asef Chowdhury were instrumental players in this game. Thanks to their strong defense, with Asef as the goalie and Jordan at deeper, they helped out their team to achieve a 0-0 final score. The Boys Soccer Team recently won their first playoffs game, and can't wait to enter the semi-finals this week.
Renaissance: 5/03/19
Matan Stern
10th grader Matan scored the tying goal (unassisted) to get 1-1 tie against Renaissance, with five minutes left of the game, outside the box. This goal was very important, because it meant that the game wasn't a loss. The Boys Soccer team now has a 4-2-1 record.
A.E.C.I.: 4/30/19
Matthew Wiszowaty and Chato M.
10th graders Matthew and Chato led the Raptors to a strong comeback from a 2-0 halftime deficit to a 4-2 win. Chato had one goal and one assist, and Matthew produced the go ahead goal on a beautiful header. They have been key contributors to the team all season. The Raptors are now 4-1-1, and their next game is Friday 5/3 against a strong Renaissance team.
Coney Island High School: 4/18/19
Sacha Serog
10th grader Sacha Serog's plays at forward led to his team having a comback from 3-0 to 3-3, ending the game in a tie. Sacha scored 2 goals and had 1 assist, and has been very important in helping his team acheive their current 3-1-1 record. The boys soccer team is looking forward to upcoming games this Tuesday and Friday.
NV HUM: 4/12/29
Abdel Eissa
Abdel dominated this game at defensive midfield. He had 4 tackles, and consistently prevented MV HUM's counterattacks. Abdel's agrressive play and physical presence will be a key asset for our team this year.
